Sorry Tony Bloomberg will not stop his mission

800,000 trees were planted under Mayor Bloomberg's Million Tree NYC initiative and another 200,000 in the works. Today around 100 new trees arrived in Bellerose to be planted by the city. This is on 252 Street and Hillside Avenue where work has started with few trees. State Senate Tony Avella is against this plan since maintenance is also needed after the death of a woman in Kissena Park while back. While Avella is gathering more people to join his cause, city will not remove what is planted already so a legislation action is in the works. So far Avella has park advocates on his side and awaiting for Di Blasio to start the discussion for tree maintenance.
