Soliciting for windows making Floral Park residents uncomfortable

Since December 26, residents of Floral Park reported a man soliciting for windows from 246 to 257th Streets while another wait in the car. One of the resident captured the pic of the person. After knocking on the door, he said his name is Corie Simmons but did not describe the company he works for. He wants to meet the owner of house and discuss sales of windows. Many residents were puzzled of a sales man in the freezing cold knocking on doors. According to NYPD's Neighborhood Coordination Officers, a legal sales always leaves a brochure or business card of the company they are with if requested by the residents. If not, do not respond. Also, a sign of, "No Soliciting Allowed" on the front of home is legal to let all know that sales people are not welcome to ring or knock on doors.
