Slow down for innocent drivers on Nassau County parkways

The NCPD reported a driver in a Mercedes was allegedly lane hopping on the Northern State Parkway westbound when another driver lost control and slammed toward a tree on the shoulder.

The incident was reported this afternoon around 3pm by the Shelter Rock Road Exit. All lanes were closed momentarily until ESU removed the victims, senior couples from the vehicle.

EMS transported all the injured to local hospitals.

The vehicle was towed away and traffic resumed. Police say now on the hunt for the driver of the Mercedes in connection with the incident.

The NCPD and SCPD reported over 25 vehicle accidents in the same manner on the Long Island parkways during this month involving innocent peoples in the harm’s way.
