Single vehicle accident with one dead on the VWE ramp

Police reported a male, 46 died after a single crash on the Van Wyck Expressway in Jamaica. The incident was reported around 2am when the bypasser alerted 911. This is by Belt Parkway merger route. Police reported the driver alone in the vehicle was on the westbound Belt Parkway when exited to the ramp to the Van Wyck Expressway north while turning and hit the Jersey barrier possibly while failing to navigate the curve turn.

The investigation continues.
