Simo went to heaven now with Brian

The local heroes at the 102nd Precinct held a farewell gathering to remember K-9 Simo who passed away this week. Simo was named after the late detective Brian Simonsen using the first four letters of the last name to keep the legacy alive. Now Simo is with Brian looking down upon us. Locals knew Simo always a friendly but a tough cop trained to do the job.

RIP to Simo.

The 102nd Precinct serves a portion of central Queens containing Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill East, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven, and the northern part of Ozone Park.
