Shark sighting for second day in Long Island

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran stated at 3pm, shark sighting reported at Jones Beach Field 6. Multiple beaches have closed for swimming in the south shore sector. Beaches have re-opened with restrictions to knee deep water access. This is the second day reporting of shark sighting. Helicopter is monitoring the beaches.
This is from Town of Hempstead, Due to a recent shark sighting by a Town of Hempstead lifeguard off Atlantic Beach as well as a reported shark sighting offshore at nearby Jones Beach, swimming is currently prohibited at all Town of Hempstead ocean beaches.
