The NYC Council is clearing a new legislation as part of single room apartment where a house can allow up to three rooms per kitchen or bathroom. The easy term is divide into three rooms and rent them for bucks.

This is part of the City of Yes. The plan also includes for coops and condos without board approvals once the incoming Mayor signs into law next year.

Once approved, the specification details will be issued for the size of a room allowed, where the door is placed and additional fixtures which will require permits with the building department.
