Second CityBench is placed on Union and off Lakeville Road

NYC's CityBench program is part of Dept of Transportation's initiative to have public seating on various locations. Usually targeted at areas where a number of higher senior citizens are located. Now the city is requesting residents and businesses to enroll by identifying where the 1,000 benches shall be installed by 2015. The guidelines are bus stops without shelters, sidewalk near transit facilities including subway stations, senior centers, hospitals, commercial zones, shopping areas and municipal facilities including libraries.
