Scammers target church goers in Queens

The new scam is targeting church goers by pretending to the be the bishop of Brooklyn, Nicholas DiMarzio. The scammers has been sending text messages looking like its from the bishop to give out money using gift card. The message shows the money is for sick people in the hospital. Many victims were duped into this scam and gave out money. Church officials are warning all not to reply and report to police. The investigation is ongoing.
