Scam alert on Jericho Turnpike

Nassau County police reported theft by deception in Garden City Park. The latest incident happened on June 25 around 9am on Jericho Turnpike and Marcus Avenue when a victim was near the school and was approached by a perp with false stories. From there, the suspect took off with personal items. Police has not responded if this is a pigeon drop scam but several others were approached and advised to be cautious especially in the parking lot on Nassau Blvd.
