Say half amen as the congestion is all cleared in Kew Gardens

The long withstanding construction at the Kew Garden vicinity consists of entrance to the Grand Central Parkway from eastbound Union Turnpike to Queens Blvd as well as the exits from all around is complete. With the new jail under construction on the south side, the view is nice to see cars flowing from all angles of lanes especially the Kew Gardens Interchange where accidents are frequent. The westbound direction which is the north side to Queens Blvd from Main Street is all done. According to the NYC Dept of Transportation which now has an office setup estimated over $750 million from design to implementation. The south side is still under development.

So when you have time, try walking from Kew Gardens subway station to the newly made path to Main Street which takes about 30 minutes not counting fast or speed pace.
