Sanford Avenue closed in Flushing due to shooting

Police closed off Sanford Avenue in Flushing reporting a male shot. This is near Main Street.

EMS is working to transport the victim, a 34 year old male to a local hospital who was shot twice.

Police is working on crowd control in the area.

ESU recovered shell casings.

So far no arrests. Police say the suspect is male, black who took off toward the local park.

Chopper notified for assist.

Ongoing investigation.
