Roxi went to a happy home on Long Island

Roxi, the Mastiff who was tied to a pole on the Southern State Parkway westbound near Exit 21 on July 1st went to a happy home after being adopted.

After a flood of calls and emails, the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter selected the best family for Roxi from interviews and personal meetings. July 8 was the day Roxi got the notification of going to a new family and she was picked up on July 15.

Still, the NCPD is continuing with the investigation after receiving anonymous tips. Many reports stating locals had seen a senior walking the same matching description of Roxi in the area.

The dog was not harmed but left with food and a note.
