Robbery investigations ongoing in Bellerose

The NYPD reported multiple victims were robbed in the vicinity of Winchester Blvd and Union Turnpike. This is by the local park in the Bellerose section near Glen Oaks.

A local neighbor stated the public restrooms at the park have been a nuisance with vagrants harassing residents and the neighbors.

Despite the local office of mental health patrol vehicles at the intersection, neighbors say it doesn't help since different people are in the area soliciting and harassing around.

Some of the local residents attending the local precinct's community meetings have vented their frustrations but not much enforcement saying it's a matter of the NYC Parks Urban Parks Rangers who are allowed to issue summons to appear in courts for violating rules and regulations and health and sanitary codes. The same applies to all NYC public parks.

As for robberies, the investigation continues.
