Ridgewood man died of injuries from assault

Police reported Hugo Moreta, 56 died of his injuries after he was punched in the head by a suspect. It happened on Sunday, September 3 around 1:30 outside his home on Decauter Street and Cypress Avenue. On Friday, September 8, Moreta was declared dead and the investigation is now a homicide. So far no arrests and the investiation is ongoing.
