Richmond Hill has many displaced after house fire

The FDNY reported a heavy fire at a home in Richmond Hill. This is on 108th Street near 91st Avenue at unit 32 where the fire started on December 1 around 10:45pm.

The fire marshal stated it was a fifth alarm involving over 200 firefighters and was brought under control by 1:30am.

EMS transported all the injured to local hospitals.

The fire started in the basement and extended to the first floor. Then to the neighboring attached homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
