Response to the average cost of Christmas tree in Bellerose

We all remember what $20 bucks can buy while growing up. Christmas trees are now setting up to sell in Bellerose with one on Jericho Turnpike near Commonwealth Blvd, another on Hillside Avenue and 239th Street and more. The average cost of a single normal sized tree is $65 when asked for one compared to $50 last year. The $65 does not includes tip when putting the tree to the vehicle. One tree seller reported many trees weren't selling fast compared to the last five years due to high rise of utility bills. During Christmas time, electric bill with a decorated tree rose over $100 compared to $80 five years ago according to a local resident. Either way its a family tradition and its up to the family to make decisions.
