Queens pharmacist who owned five locations pleads guilty

The US Dept of Justice reported that Queens pharmacist pleaded guilty of defrauding over $6.5 million from Medicare and Medicaid. The pharmacist used her five locations of pharmacies to claim prescription drugs that were not dispensed, not prescribed or were not medically necessary. This came when the pharmacy was no longer registered with the NY state. All five pharmacies, Superdrugs Inc., Superdrugs I Inc., Superdrugs II Inc., S&A Superdrugs II Inc. and Village Stardrugs Inc. began in 2018 until 2020 has been closed. Beside paying back the $6.5 million and $5.1 million in forfeiture money judgement, prison time is 40 years.
