Queens Village man busted for robberies in Long Island

Nassau County police reported the arrest of a Queens Village man for multiple robberies on multiple dates in Nassau County.
According to detectives, a thorough investigation was conducted and a Queens Village man was found responsible and arrested in connection with the following robberies on the following dates:
May 29, 2020 at 10:30 pm, East Meadow. The defendant arranged to meet with a male victim, 34, to test drive a vehicle that the victim was selling on an internet site. After the test drive the victim was standing outside his car when the defendant jumped into the driver?s seat and began to drive away in the victim?s car. The victim tried to stop the defendant from driving away by grabbing the driver?s door, causing the victim to be dragged by the car, resulting in an injury to the victim?s right shoulder.
June 4, 2020 at 9:15 pm, Westbury. The defendant arranged to meet with another male victim, 31, to test drive a vehicle that the victim was selling on an internet site. After the test drive the victim was standing outside the passenger side door when the defendant began to drive away with the car. The victim tried to get back into the car but the defendant pulled his shirt up, exposing the butt of a handgun in his waistband. The defendant then drove away in victim?s car.
June 5, 2020 at 10:30 pm, Roosevelt. The defendant arranged to meet with a female victim, 39, to test drive a vehicle that was listed for sale on an internet site. The defendant requested to take the car for a test drive and the victim refused. The defendant then physically removed the car keys from the victim and then got into the car. The victim tried to get the keys back from the defendant but was hit in the head by the car door causing a laceration over her eye. The defendant then drove away in the victim?s car.
The defendant was apprehended by detectives who responded to Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick NJ to pick up the defendant on an arrest warrant for the three listed cases. He is charged with Robbery 1st Degree and four (4) counts of Robbery 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on July 8, 2020 in Mineola.
