Pursuit from Bayside to arrest in Manhasset

The NCPD is heavily active on Northern Blvd in Manhasset reporting a pursuit leading to one arrest. During the pursuit from Port Washington after the vehicle was tracked down, the perp fired multiple rounds of shots. Commuters ran for cover and multiple Nassau County cops rounded up the suspect by the Americana shopping Center.

Detectives are checking for bullet victims.

As of now, Northern Blvd is delayed with traffic and rerouted by police.

The vehicle was marked in the Bayside vicinity of Queens where the perp was driving erratically and suspicious when cops lost track of the vehicle. From a witness the incident was described as carjacking but cops say it was a road rage incident.

EMS, ESU and other law enforcement agencies are on the scene.

As of now the vehicle is stopped and the perp is in custody.

Several illegal weapons were found in the vehicle.

The investigation continues.
