Property taxes will not be cancelled in NY

Just got the confirmation that both NY Governor and NYC Mayor will NOT cancel property taxes for land owners. Public elected officials need their high paying salaries. Without it, they can't function and maintain their lifestyle.
It's true you can't cheat on taxes and death.
Here is the salary of city council members minimum at $150,000 not counting additional expenses for travel, food, committee participation, etc.
"If you make $150,000 a year living in the region of New York, USA, you will be taxed $46,485. That means that your net pay will be $103,515 per year, or $8,626 per month. Your average tax rate is 30.99% and your marginal tax rate is 32.02%"
