Police identified the Ozone Park man shot in the head

On Tuesday, October 24, police disclosed the victim that was shot in the head identified as Hani Kasem, 64 who remains in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital. The incident happened on Monday, October 23 around 10am when three men in suits opened fire where Kasem and his son were operating a wholesale business, Garden Valley Distribution in Ozone Park. The business deals with deli products that were delivered to local stores. Kasem's son was pistol whipped and is in stable condition at a local hospital. Police have no arrests so far.
