12 people landed in the hospital related to Legionnaires disease in Flushing

On Tuesday, October 24 afternoon, NYC Health Dept reported of 12 people from 30's to 80's in the age range were hospitalized. All were from downtown Flushing. Its part of ongoing investigation related to Leginnaire's disease from the last two weeks. As of late afteroon, five remains in the hospital while the other seven were released. The NYC Dept of Health confirmed further investigation by checking the water samples from cooling tower systems and testing for Legionella. Authorities did not disclose locations due to ongoing investigation.
