Pickled sardines are coming block by block in NYC

Now it's all about affordable NYC under the new Mayor whose ambitious project is to change zoning and add 200,000 units quickly. Then another 200,000 to preserve by fixing the units up to date. Taxpayers will cough up $22 billion for initial start which is peanuts since affordable housing is a priority in NYC on every block by block. Another $5.6 billion for public housing NYCHA to expedite services to maintain tenant complaints up to date. The entire project will go over $100 billion once calculation takes place. The Mayor quoted, "We will leverage city-owned land to build 100% affordable and mixed-income housing." A $40 an hour job with a city with city owned lots to build as many units. The lead developers are Related and Essence as of now. The biggest happy news is that all existing units will have new toilets which will cost taxpayers $3.5 million without labor. As of today, there are 158,000 homeless in shelters not including migrants who have not been moved to affordable housing since their services are crucial in-demand and must be kept there. More government. More taxes. More debt.

Overall the biggest winners are the vendors, contractors, management and non profits servicing NYCHA where tenants must remain poor with subsidies while continuing to vote for the same party. The Mayor's office stated there are no limits to how many can stay in city owned and public housing as long as everybody is happy under the new plan just like canned sardines.
