Pepper spray investigation reported in Glen Oaks

The NYPD reported a victim was pepper sprayed while sitting on the bench relaxing on the weekend in Glen Oaks. The incident was reported on Saturday, November 2 around 10am on 260th Street near the local park by 73rd Avenue.

A local resident stated the victim was targeted for mugging while another one says the incident was caused by locals after a dispute. Detectives arrived on the scene along with FDNY, EMS and NYPD. EMS treated the victim on the scene.

Residents in the area stated seniors living in Glen Oaks near the park have reported homeless people harassment frequently, unable to be outside to patronize with neighbors.

The investigation continues.
