Pedestrian struck by vehicle died in Roslyn Heights

The NCPD reported the details of a fatal uto accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 7:57 pm in Roslyn Heights.

According to police, while walking in the roadway on Roslyn Road at I.U. Willets Road, a 56-year-old female was struck by a southbound 2018 Jeep Cherokee that was being driven by a 30-year-old male. The male operator remained on scene and awaited police arrival. As a result of the collision, the female pedestrian suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced at the scene.

The investigation into this accident continues.
