Pedestrian injured in crash on LIE E and clearview expy S

A accident on Queens' Long Island Expressway East (LIE E) and Clearview Expressway South (Clearview Expy S) on Tuesday morning injured a pedestrian. Around 8:49 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene after learning that a pedestrian had been hit by a car and was now stuck there.

The person was trying to cross the street when they were struck by a car, according to the most recent information from the scene. Soon after the crash, first responders, including firefighters and paramedics, arrived to assist the injured. Firefighters assisted relocate the pedestrian to safety and secured the scene while paramedics treated the injured person and transported them to a nearby hospital for more care. The pedestrian's condition is unknown at this time.

The collision caused severe traffic congestion as authorities worked to defuse the situation. Emergency personnel managed traffic flow, and motorists were advised to avoid the area. While emergency workers responded to the issue, many routes were stopped, and police confirmed that the incident caused delays.
