Package theft suspect busted in Bayside

Police are at 34th Avenue and 208 Street reporting a suspect was taken into custody for multiple package thefts in Bayside. The suspect, male was under watch by police and was waiting for theft action leading to arrest. It happened around 1:30pm. The suspect has been identified as Nayid Melo, 28. Melo has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a controlled substance, trespassing and petit larceny.
