Construction worker died after hit by vehicle while working

Police reported a worker as part of streetlight repair sitting inside a cherry picker died after hit by a vehicle. It happened near Goldsmith Street and Grand Avenue around 2:45am in Elmhurst. The vehicle, a box truck remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police. The 59 year old worker was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he died. Ongoing investigation.
