Open larceny thefts are on the rise on 263 Street

Police reported multiple open larceny thefts on a long stretch of 263rd Street in Glen Oaks between 76th to 73rd Avenue. All the thefts were from yards and parking lots of items left outside. Police also stated most of the areas are open spaces easily accessible between the buildings around hospitals and the co-op apartments. Residents are advised of keeping items inside or locked. All the incidents were reported in the daytime.
