Only 2243 for 6 days of crime spree in NYC

The NYPD reported there were 2,243 major crimes involving victims for all five boroughs from July 13 to July 19.

This is down from 8.5% in the same week last year in the safest city called NYC according to the local government.

For Queens, grand larceny continues to be the issue from stolen autos mainly in the northeast section of Bellerose, Glen Oaks to Little Neck. Bayside reported property crimes from burglaries to mail thefts. For June 2026 alone, there were 3,827 grand larcenies citywide.

Despite so many crime victims, most of the cases have the accused pleads guilty with minimal time and released back to the city to enjoy with taxpayer funds. So far the program is not working but needs to keep the operation going with taxpayer funds.

It's a wonderful operation.
