One spot reported robberies while burglaries spike in Bellerose

The vicinity of 81st Avenue and 242nd Street continues to report victims of robberies in Bellerose.

The latest incident was reported on November 15 when a victim was robbed while walking home around 5pm.

Also the same vicinity reported assaults involving gangs.

Meanwhile, burglaries continue to spike in the vicinity of Bellerose, Floral Park and Glen Oaks.

According to the NYPD, last week reported 11 burglaries in the same vicinity.

From local residents there is unusual activity at the local park on Braddock Avenue and 242nd Street where gangs are recruiting teens.

Residents are advised to stay alert.
