One long weekend with fires on Long Island

The first fire on Saturday reported fatality. This is in Plainview and the incident occurred on Sutton Drive near Joslyn Drive around 2:30am. The next one was in Garden City on Hathaway Drive near Greenridge Avenue when the fire started at a home around 12:45pm. Around 3pm, a home in Seaford reported fire on Alken Avenue near Stuart Place. Another fire reported in Plainview. This is on Montclair Drive near Manetto Hill Road when the fire started around 4:30pm. Around 6pm, Bellmore reported fire at a home on Logue Street near Kayon Lane which was a major fire with injuries.

Before midnight, East Meadow apartment reported fire. This is on Newbridge Road near 6th Avenue. Multiple residents were evacuated and were placed in shelters.

Today around 1:45pm, Hempstead reported a house fire on Warner Avenue near Lexington Circle.

In Suffolk County, Amityville reported a major fire on Ocean Avenue near Grace Court where the fire started around 3:45pm yesterday. Also today another major fire broke out in Amityville. This is on Braham Avenue near Shore Road. Around 4pm, multiple residents were moved to shelter after a house fire in Wyandanch. This is on Pine Street near Jefferson Avenue.

All incidents are under investigation to what caused the fire.
