One long mess has heavy law enforcement investigation on the LIE

This evening around 6pm, Long Island Expressway eastbound reported multiple vehicle accidents with injuries. This is by Exit 41 in Jericho. EMS reported over ten injuries including children. Also, two children reported in critical condition unresponsive at the scene.

Chopper landed on the westbound after police closed off to transport children to local hospitals.

By 8pm, traffic was moving while one lane remained closed.

Highway CIS is working on the scene.
