261 for Queens alone but subway is safe to travel

The NYC Mayor's office response to the media despite a spike in subway crime raises new safety fears as city officials add more patrols, cameras and police presence at higher risk stations. For Queens, Roosevelt Avenue's 7 line remains the number one spot for more police presence.

For Queens alone over the weekend, there were 261 victims of crime from assault, robbery to sexual harassment from the preliminary report.

Despite NYC subway murders up 300% this year, robberies up 18% and misdemeanor assaults up 15%, NYC remains safe according to the Mayor, Governor and local elected officials.

Their response to the victims is at the wrong place and wrong time. So it's ok to take the subway where the ridership went down to 900,000 from the average 1.5 million pre-pandemic as per MTA despite crime happening.
