One injured in car crash at Horace Harding Expressway and Utopia Parkway

An injury car crash occurred on Tuesday evening in Auburndale, leaving one individual injured. The incident, reported by the NYPD, took place at approximately 9:18 p.m. at the intersection of Horace Harding Expy and Utopia Pkwy.

According to the NYPD, a car traveling on Horace Harding Expy collided with another car at the busy intersection. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, where paramedics attended to the injured parties. One individual was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries, though their current condition remains unconfirmed.

The NYPD, along with fire department personnel, worked to control the situation, ensuring traffic was diverted around the crash site to prevent further incidents. The fire department was also involved in the extraction of the vehicles from the intersection, which had become partially obstructed.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation by the NYPD. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether any charges will be filed in connection with the crash
