One in custody after fire incident in Williston Park

Around 2am last night, firefighters were called to a home on Sherman Avenue in Williston Park reporting a fire in the roof. This is in Nassau County. EMS transported two people to a local hospital. Further investigation reported another female living in the house was taken into custody and charged with arson.

The fire was not major and firefighters reported it was caused on the ceiling extended to the roof without further damage.
