One dead from a house fire in Massapequa

Firefighters reported one dead from a house fire in Massapequa. The fire started around 11:30am at a home on Bayview Street East in Nassau County. The owner of the home, male was found inside a room unresponsive and later declared dead.

Multiple firefighters suffered injuries. The cause of fire is under investigation.
