Olivia from Queens went to a baseball team to win

Olivia Pichardo was born in Queens and grew up playing baseball. Now she is the first woman to pitch in the men's Division 1 in NCAA baseball. Her father is from the Dominican Republic and mother from China met in Queens and fell in love. Then settled in Forest Hills.

In April 2026, Pichardo became the first woman to pitch in a Division I baseball game, pitching for Brown in a victory over Cornell University.

Queens is where champions are made.
