Off duty correction officer shot dead in Richmond Hill

Police reported a 27 year old correction officer identified as Jonathan Narain was shot dead. It happened on Friday around 1:45am near 103rd Avenue and 120th Street in Richmond Hill. Police reported Narain was shot in the head while sitting in his Honda Accord involving possible road rage incident. Narain was assigned to Rikers Island after his duty officially started as a correction officer on January 14, 2016. A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
