Off duty New York city employee arrested in Queens NYPD

An off-duty New York City employee was arrested Monday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

Maurice Russell, 34, was taken into custody around 3:45 p.m.

Russell is an employee of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, police say. He was charged with theft of service, violation of local law, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
