Obamacare to get a boost with new nomination of surgeon general

US President Barack Obama nominated Vivek Hallegere Murthy, 36, for the post. If confirmed by the Senate, Murthy will become the first Indian-American and the youngest surgeon general, who is the leading spokesperson on public health issues in the US. Murthy is the co-founder and president of Doctors for America, a nationwide organisation of 15,000 physicians and medical students that promotes affordable healthcare.
