Fireman who stole from Engine 251 pleaded guilty

Joseph Keene, 34, a fireman with NYC robbed Engine 251 plus few other stations finally took the bait and pleaded guilty to second and third degree burglary without prison term. Instead he will need to join the drug treatment program decided by the Queens DA's office after an agreement to leave the job as a $76,488 job. If he does not go to the drug program, he will be in jail for 3 years. The fireman Keene was on the job for six years and before his arrest, he was stealing money from fire stations to fuel his drug habit.
