Now comes bee hotels in NYC

The NYC announced bee hotels coming to local places around the city including Queens. This is part of the Dept of Transportation's Pollinator Port Project. Bees are beloved animale and they are at risk so hotels for them will help them with break and nourishment.

The NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation reported there is a decline of bee population and their pollen plays a great role in maintaining the ecosystems.

For Queens, it's at 34th Avenue in Jackson Heights, the first location to start with. The rest are at Fordham Plaza, Parkside Plaza, Gates Avenue, Cooper Square Plaza, Quisqueya Plaza and Water Street in Staten Island.

The project is funded by taxpayers and the cost has not been determined since the feasibility is in the early stage before setting up another agency as part of the city.
