North Amityville reported a rush incident

The SCPD reported a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and later died at the local hospital on Long Island. This is by Route 110 and Ronald Drive. The driver remained on the scene when the incident occurred last night after midnight.

EMS transported the victim to a local hospital but later died of injuries.

The investigation continues.
