The new wave of cuisine making rounds in Queens and the latest one is pigeon curry now available. For the nearest spot, try Sagar on Hillside Avenue near 168 Street in Jamaica where it's available by reservation on weekends according to the management.

All locations are taking orders by reservations only including local halal carts mainly from Jackson Heights to Astoria.

The delicacy is hard to miss.

According to Google Answers, pigeon curry is a nutrient-dense, flavorful dish, often prepared in Assamese and Bengali styles, featuring tender pigeon meat cooked with spices like turmeric, chili, ginger-garlic paste, and garam masala. Often combined with potatoes and simmered until the meat is tender, it is served with rice or roti.
