New Hyde Park Fire Commissioner arrested

Michael Dolan Sr is in custody for road rage which occurred on Merillon Avenue when he punched another driver by getting out of the car with anger. It was not clear what happened since the attacked victim is a 65 years old man still in the hospital from the incident. In 2012, New Hyde Park village board terminated his position as an active firefighter after caught stealing smoke detectors from the station but remained as the commissioner after Nassau County DA dismissed the criminal charges. However, his son, Dolan Jr continue to be an active firefighter in the village.
