Nassau County DA announced burglary ring arrests

On Monday, Nassau County DA stated 25 gang members arrested from 17 separate investigations which produced over 20 illegally possessed firearms since the beginning of COVID-19. All suspects are members of a South American burglary crew. All were arrested by Nassau County Police Department?s Burglary Task Force after an extensive multi-jurisdictional investigation. The gang targeted homes in NYC and Long Island as well as California and Miami.

From NCPD, Bryan Leandro Herrera Maldonado, 25, was apprehended in NJ after being on the run since January. Maldonado is part of an organized group based in Chile that would send members to the United States on 90-day tourist visas to commit burglaries before returning to Chile.
