NYS Attorney General targeted two locations for overcharging consumers for sanitizers

The NYS Attorney General sent cease and desist notices to two small businesses to stop overcharging for disinfectant items and hand sanitizers. They are Scheman & Grant Hardware in Manhattan and City Fresh Market in College Point after complaints. Although the attorney general didn't outline why she is not going after giant corporations and also why Governor Cuomo made hand sanitizers with prisoners paying 60 cents, one official stated emergency situation for the latter. Mayor de Blasio reported the Dept of Consumers will act for all complaints on overpricing.
