NYPD officers are resigning day by day

NYPD source confirmed about five police officers are resigning a day since the protest and the number is expected to rise. Additional police personnel are being called to work in Manhattan from Queens. After Mayor de Blasio stated all members of NYPD will work 12 hours shifts 7 days a week due to protest, around 30 have resigned. That's in addition to normal attrition for retirement, disability and etc. Also, the NYPD academy has the lowest enrollment for May to this date.
Meanwhile in Minnesota, the elected officials confirmed of dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department and replace it with a transformative new model of public safety. A bill is under work.
